Merry Christmas

Marq & I went cross-country skiing for our first time on Christmas Day. It was SO much fun! I am happy to report we BOTH tipped over a couple of times but no injuries :) We finally made it home around nine and had our own Christmas with just the three of us.

We spent the night at my parents for Christmas Eve this year. Marq and Brett stayed up and watched a movie while Chevy and I slept, we were worn out after snowshoeing. We woke up on Christmas morning and opened gifts. I was sad to see that Chevy was scared of her Bumble Ball that I was so excited about, she runs from it :(

Christmas Eve

The morning of Christmas Eve we went snowshoeing up Millcreek Canyon. It was the first time we've gone this season and we were all excited to get out! The snow was gorgeous! I love Millcreek in the winter with the snow and the river. Lots of trails that are hardly touched!

Check out the cool "snow role" we found! Crazy lookin'.

CONGRATULATIONS MARQ!!!

A couple of days before Christmas, Marq received one of his best gifts... the results to the Fundamentals of Engineering exam he took in October. He PASSED!!! :) He also got his grades back from last semester and managed a 3.75 GPA which means he made the Dean's List again! Both are HUGE accomplishments and I am SO proud of him! GOOD JOB BABY!

Thanksgiving

I KNOW!!! I suck at keeping this thing updated! Guess we've been too busy having fun :)

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year! We got to spend it with both our families and eat twice (which Chevy really appreciated) As always, we missed my sister Melissa & her family but always have fun seeing the other kids.

Two of our other favorite kids came into town for the occasion and we got to spend lots of time with Zeke & Malina. We love being able to have them stay here when they come into town. I came home from work for lunch one day and Marq & Zeke were downstairs working on circuit boards! So cute! Marq will make an amazing dad someday many years from now (sorry Kae :) We also spent lots of time drawing masterpieces on our white board. Thanks for playing' with us bud!

Thanksgiving dinner was missing Aunt Kim and Uncle John. We missed ya and can't wait for your adorable baby boy to arrive! Emily & I took this picture for you of OUR adorable bundles of joy! :)

What should Chevy be for Halloween?

What do ya think? A ladybug? Or a donkey with the little man riding on her back??? :)

24 Hours of Moab

Last weekend we headed out into the desert for the annual 24 Hours of Moab bike race. It was Chevy & I's first time in Moab and it was Beautiful!

Marq's friends competed in the race and one of the teams we camped with took FIRST PLACE in the clydesdale division! YEAH!!!

The track was 16 miles of sand and rock. The teams relay for 24 hours STRAIGHT and race all through the night. It was unbelievable, they even have a SOLO class! The winners completed 14 laps in 24 hours! That's roughly 22 hours of racing. It was UNBELIEVABLE!
Marq didn't race but he got to ride the entire track. He's even thinking of racing next year.

Chevy made LOTS of new friends but this... is Charlie :) HE and Chev really liked each other and they had lots of fun playing in the red sand together.

Our 2 year Engagement Anniversary

Yesterday was the 2 year anniversary of the night we got engaged! Time flies!!! Thanks to a gift from my very generous boss, we were able to spend the night in a Swiss resort in Midway called Zermatt. We relaxed, enjoyed the beautiful fall leaves, and ate LOTS of great European food!

P.S. Happy Birthday Rikkie!

Strawberry Days Rodeo

In June we got to go to the rodeo with Melissa & her kids and my parents. I think Aidyn had the most fun dancing to all the music. We had a great time! We miss the Hooley's though :)

Miss Mckenna

Two of my adorable neices turned 10 this summer! WOW! Double digits ladies! Last weekend Uncle Marq and I took Mckenna out for our traditional birthday date. We went shopping, tried on LOTS of clothes, and went to lunch. We wished Kennedy could have been there with us but we had a great time anyway :) Luv you Kenna & Kennedy... Happy Birthday Sweetie Pies!!!

Hiking

We are trying to do all the hiking we can this summer. We have done a lot of hiking up MillCreek Canyon which is our favorite because they allow dogs off-leash on odd numbered days. We have also done a little hiking up AF Canyon and there is a trail by our house that we like. We hope to hike to the Timp Caves before the season is over, neither of us have ever been.

Bear Lake

Marq & I got to go stay at the Jenkins beautiful Bear Lake Cabin again this summer, unfortunately Chevy had to stay home this time :( We took her up last year and while we were sound asleep on the deck she woke up and decided to go for a little walk. When we woke up and she was gone we panicked! I was nearly in tears as we searched for her. When we got back to the cabin she walked up as if to say "Oh good! You guys are up". She stayed home this time and we went spent the day boating on lake. Marq had a blast wakeboarding, Bob & Kae waterskied and I did some swimming but a huge thunderstorm blew in before I got my chance to show off my wakeboarding skills. DANG! Maybe next time :)

Big Horn Ranch

I finally got Marq to my family's property up Spanish Fork Canyon. Until I met Marq... THIS is what I thought camping was... 4 wheeler rides & sitting in the trailer. We had a great time with Melissa & her kids, my mom & dad, Brett and my Grandma Norma. Chevy was sad to be left behind in the trailer with Grandma Alana but she did get to chase her very first deer. This picture is of Marq & I was after taking a ride BEHIND Brett, thanks man!

Our Vacation

Marq, Chevy and I took a MUCH needed vacation in May to our FAVORITE vacation spot... Hood River, OR. We got to spend a week with Denise & Chico, 2 of our favorite kids and Chevy's friend Otus. We did lots of hiking, relaxing, and playing. The highlight of our trip was when we all piled in the RV and camped on the coast for 2 days. It was cold but we had GREAT time! Chevy got to see the ocean for the first time and she loved to roll and dig in the sand :)
