Tahna's Baby Shower

I was so excited to be able to throw Tahna's baby shower for her! I've been planning this event since that night, about 9 months ago, that Tahna took a pregnancy test in the Walmart bathroom! It was positive! I've been telling Marq all summer "as long as the patio is done for the baby shower" and it was! (for the most part)
I think it turned out pretty good.
The food was great. I made homemade pesto with basil from my herb garden, Christy brought her famous School Lunch Peanut Butter Bars (Tahna's favorite) and Sara brought some very fancy & yummy cupcakes! I was still healing from my surgery so I was very thankful to have lots of help from Sara! She was a lifesaver.
The patio looked beautiful so "Thank You" to my wonderful engineer for that!
As everyone knows Tahna & I are a package deal so... my family is her family. We were both really glad that most everyone from both sidea od Marq & I's families could be there to support her. We love you Tahna!!! GOOD LUCK!

Ovard Family Camping Trip

This summer my family took a camping trip to my family's property down South. We have been camping at the Big Horn Ranch since before I can remember and I admit that until I met Marq, I thought that's what camping was.
We had lots of fun camping together, riding 4-wheelers, playing on the zipline, making crafts, target shooting, playing games, and hanging out around the campfire.

Summer Fun

Last weekend Marq & I took a break from the yardwork and went boating with his family. We had SO much fun! All of his siblings were there, with the exception of Chris, and I felt like I got a glimpse into their past. As Marq rode the tube with Emily, Bob, Jeff and Kim I couldn't help but picture them years ago as little kids out on this same lake, doing this same thing as a family and having so much fun. I am so thankful to have a family in-law that I LOVE and get to spend so much time with. Love you guys! Check out the fun for yourself... sometimes watching was more fun than actually riding :)

When the sun goes down....

About 4:00pm last Thursday I got a phone call from Tahna saying that she had scored us some Kenny Chesney Concert tickets! At first I told her that I couldn't go, Marq & I have been working really hard trying to get the patio in for the past week and we still aren't done. After some convincing I emailed Marq and he said I should go :) Tahna and I have shared a love of country music for years and John & Marq share a dislike for it which I think works out to our benefit.

Thanks for the tickets Tahna, I had a LOT of fun.

Tahna and I were both happy to realize that the baby seems to share our love of country music!!! She thought he'd freak out from the loud music but it must have lulled him right to sleep :) He'll be our little cowboy! I better find him a hat!
