"So many of my smiles are because of you"
Today Ledger is 7 months old! He is changing so much and getting so active. He doesn't want to sit still for long.
Ledger's favorite food is... hard to say because he loves most of them.
His least favorite food is... probably peaches, he'll eat them but doesn't seem too impressed.
His favorite movie is... any of the Baby Einsteins, he laughs and smiles at the puppets.
He is growing like a weed, I think he is about 15 lbs now.
His newest trick is... moving, he can pretty much get himself wherever he wants to go and is all but crawling.
He has 2 teeth on the bottom.
He is still wearing some 0-3 clothes but is starting to fit into most of his 3-6.
He has graduated to the Size 2 diapers but they are big, the fasteners overlap :)
He likes to move all over his crib and pull everything apart.
He is started to bounce & dance to music.
He loves the pool.
He eats 4oz of solid food three times a day.
He is sleeping through the night most of the time. He usually goes to bed around 7-8pm and usually wakes up around 7-8am.
He usually takes about a 2 hour morning nap and then usually naps for an hour or two in the afternoon depending on what we're doing that day. He doesn't nap well anywhere but his crib.
He had his first haircut and his first cold last month.
He loves to take the dogs to the park before bedtime.
He doesn't want to hold still long enough to be diapered or bathed.
He is still mastering the sippy cup.
Ledger is happy, curious, mobile and sweet.

Rasmussen Family Photos
Kim is in town which means...PHOTOS. Unfortunately for her she somehow got roped into taking the entire family's photo. Quite a feat with 7 unruly kids! Lucky for the rest of us she got a few really good shots despite the best efforts of some of the munchkins. Here are a few of my favorites...

Eat your Veggies
First Tooth
Today we were at the pool with Rikkie, Tahna, Noelle and all the kids. Rikkie was holding Ledger when he burst into tears for no apparent reason and then she said "did you know he has a tooth?" "No way!" was my reply. Sure enough... one of his bottom middle teeth has cut through. I was so surprised, he was a little fussy last night but I just thought he had a tummy ache, he didn't cry just couldn't seem to get comfortable. I don't know if the tooth cut at the pool or if it just started to hurt him but there it was. I can't believe my baby has a tooth!!!

The Greatest Fun Spot You'll Ever Know... CHERRY HILL
When I was little I remember my family going to Cherry Hill one summer. I'm sure we went more than that but I only vaguely remember one trip, I was really young. This year Nick & I decided to take our kids back to where we had so much fun as little kids. Friday night Nick made some rockin' jambalaya and we rested up for Saturday. We camped two nights in the campground and then played at the waterpark ALL day.
I found Ledger this awesome floaty but I didn't realize it was pink until we took it out of the package. Oops! Let's just call it reddish-orange :) He loved being on his own in the water and kicked the whole time.
Tired baby.
Nick's kids however.... are much harder to wear out! Those two have SO much energy, I don't know how Nick & Noelle keep up with them.
We all took turns hanging out with Ledger on the observation deck while the others rode the Cardiac Canyon tube ride.
It was fun to be able to ride the slide with Marq.
Here is the whole Ovard family and me trying to hang on! It is a pretty rough ride.
Sophia rode with us once, you could barely see her head above her tube. She said she had fun but did NOT want to ride again.
Here is Brigham dragging Noelle and I over the last waterfall.
Brigham loves holding Ledger :)
Sophia wanted a matching fo-hawk.
Here is the whole gang after a long day at the waterpark :) We had a BLAST! Brig & Sophia are so much fun to play with and we love hanging out with Nick & Noelle when all the kids FINALLY go to sleep. It's hard to imagine that Ledger will be running around with the kids before we know it. Thanks for coming with us Ovards, can't wait to do it again next year!!!

Family
Ledger and I try to go down to Utah County at least once a week to visit family.
He loves playing with his cousins! Noah likes to read stories to him and he even shares his toys.
We try to visit Grandma Marjean and usually get to eat lunch at Taco Amigo with Grandma Alana :) We love it when Madi & Mckenna are there too!!!
We love going to Aunt Rikkie's pool on Thursdays!

"Good Morning to you. You live in the Zoo..."
Today Ledger and I went to the Hogle Zoo with Jenn, Carter and her niece & nephew.
First we went to the elephant exhibit to see the trainers presentation. We got to see them work with Christie and her cute baby Zuri. They explained how they interact with the elephants and care for them.
Did you know that elephants throw grass and mud up on their backs to protect their skin from the sun? It's like sunscreen.
Then we headed down to meet the giraffes, I'm pretty sure Ledger is related to them somehow ;)
What's a trip to the zoo without a carousel ride? Ledger was interested when the ride started to move but then he just wanted to eat the gross pole. Don't worry, I didn't let him! We also rode the train but I didn't get a good picture of that.
Thanks for a fun day Aunt Jenn!

Bon Appetite
Last week I took the little guy in for his 6 month checkup only to discover that he has fallen off the chart as far as his weight goes. I was shocked to hear that he only weighs 12 pounds 6 ounces! Marq & I were both sure he was at least 14 lbs. His doctor recommended feeding him as much solid food as he will eat and asked us to come back in a month for a weight check. Luckily he is still loving solid food, we can't shovel it in fast enough so I'm hopeful that he won't have any trouble gaining another pound this month.
His other stats are: 26 inches long and a head circumference of 16.75 inches.
