We put it up this afternoon thinking it might be fun for him to play with while mommy is healing over the next several weeks. I am having endoscopinc sinus surgery and a septoplasty tomorrow and I am going to need all the distractions for him that I can find.
He had fun playing with us and getting dirty but he mostly wanted to pour the sand out onto our patio. Luckily the patio needs a fresh filling of sand anyway, it's like we planned that ;)
It was a gorgeous sunny day and we were so happy to be outside soaking up the sunshine and visiting the animals.
We enjoyed watching the elephants. Little Zuri is so cute and entertaining.
Ledger loved the monkeys. There was one monkey that was right up by the glass showing off and Ledger laughed and made monkey noises.
One of my favorite animals is the giraffe. I think they are beautiful! I love their patterns and their long graceful necks. They are so peaceful and sweet.
Despite the sinus infection, high fever and painful cough, last week Ledger and I found a group at our local library called Wiggle Worms.
We sing songs, wave scarves, play instruments, read a short book, blow bubbles and play with a parachute. Ledger LOVES it! He loves being around other little kids, he wanders through the crowd and is always trying to make new friends.
The kids watched the singing show with wide eyes, not sure what to think. We played on the slide, ate pizza & cake, and played lots of games. Ledger loved the ski-ball. We all had a great time, thanks Grandma & Grandpa!
