Ledger is...

-15 months old -weighing in at 24 lbs. 12 oz. (40% percentile) -measuring 32 inches (80% percentile) -independent -stubborn -curious -busy, busy, busy -goofy -FLIRTATIOUS! -Fast -a good eater -a good sleeper -sweet

He is babbling up a storm these days. He says mama, dada, Chev and out. He knows a few different signs, waves bye-bye and nods his head. He is getting to be a fast little runner particularly when he is running away from me.

He LOVES attention! Wherever we go he is always trying to get people's attention.

There is no greater sound than him giggling and entertaining himself when we are in the car driving, it always makes me stop and smile. He is definitely a hand full but we have so much fun together and I love him more than anything!

We'll Miss You Grandpa Morgan

Today our sweet Grandpa Morgan passed away after a long battle with cancer. Don was fun, kind and adventurous. We loved hearing stories of the trips he and Grandma loved to take right up until the end.

Don was the only Great Grandpa that Ledger ever got to meet and he will always have a special place in our hearts. We love you Grandpa and we will miss you.

Welcome Home Daddy!

Ledge and I had a fun weekend but we were both happy to see daddy come home.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Today was my Grandma's birthday and we had a big party for her. I'm not sure how old she is (and I don't think she is either :) I was sad Marq missed the party but Ledger had lots of fun playing with all his cousins and Aunts and Uncles.

I absolutely adore my Grandma, she means the world to me. I admire her so much and have always looked up to her as a strong, feisty and independent woman. She is an example of love, generosity, loyalty, kindness, and hard work. She has always gone out of her way to do absolutely everything she can for her family. I love you Grandma!!! Happy Birthday!

I thought he'd be a Chevy man...

Ledger obviously looks a lot like his dad but put him behind the wheel and the resemblance is undeniable :)

My nephew Noah took Ledger for a drive in his truck and Ledger was in heaven.

I thought he would try to climb out but he sat so still, it was like he was in a trance.

It seems he has inherited his dad's love of all things motorized.

Major Chunk

Since Marq is flying to Portland tomorrow morning we thought we'd spend some extra time at the park tonight with Ledger & the dogs.

Marq plays SO cute with him and he LOVES to play with his dad!!!

Chevy & Koda get a little jealous of all the attention Ledger gets because they also LOVE to play with their dad.

Library

Today Carter, Jenn and Kennedy met us at the library for story-time.

Ledger loves following Carter around and Carter is so sweet with him.

Chris & Jenn are moving to Seattle in a couple of weeks and we are going to miss spending time with them. Hopefully we won't live so far apart very soon!

Gotta Move

Today I took Ledger to a group at a local library called Gotta Move. It was a fun group with dancing, jumping, clapping and lots of other kids.Ledger had a blast, he is such a social butterfly :)

Hogle Zoo

Fun at the Library

And so it begins...

Splash Park

We took Ledger to the Splash Park at the Gateway on Easter and he LOVED it!I thought he might be a little hesitant with the water but I was wrong. He loved it, he ran around and said hello to all the people. He loves attention and people were taking pictures and filming him.
He made a few little friends. This little girl and her mom loved him.

I guess I know what we'll be doing a lot this summer.

Easter Morning

The Easter Bunny found us.Ledger got some sand toys, clothes, shoes, etc.




We also had an Easter Egg Hunt for Ledger and the dogs. I took lots of video but no photos. HAPPY EASTER!

Ovard Easter Picnic

Today we celebrated Easter with my family. We headed up Provo Canyon for a hot dog roast, egg hunt and our traditional Easter Egg role.It was so nice to get out and spend some time outside after a week of sleeping and resting and it was great to get to do something fun with Ledger & Marq.
Ledger wasn't quite sure what to think of the Easter Eggs but he did better than I had expected and he got quite a few.
When I was little we used to have a Easter picnic with my dad's family. Our tradition is to roll Easter Eggs down a hill and see who can keep their egg in tact. I guess the tradition came from my Grandma Ovard's family many years ago.

Thank You

Ledger came home today after spending an entire week with Marq's parents while I rested and healed from surgery. It has been a roller-coaster of emotions for me. The pain has not been as bad as I expected but I have been pretty miserable at times. While I could not be more grateful to have such amazing in-laws who are not only willing but happy to take care of him, being away from him has been torture. All I can say is that I am SO very happy to have my baby back in my arms where he belongs.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! to Kae, Bob, Emily & Randy for caring for our little one. We are glad that he had this chance to bond and spend lots of quality time with you all. He loves you guys!
