O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

Today we picked out our very first fresh Christmas tree! EVERYONE here in the Northwest has real trees and they think it is SO strange that we've never had one.

The Christmas Tree farm is literally down our road so we didn't even make Ledger ride in his carseat.

They had a big barn with fires, hot chocolate, a gift shop, Santa and live animals. Ledger loved feeding the goats.

We did a lot of walking around to find our tree (and wear the little man out before naptime).

Here are the boys watching them tie up our tree. They put it in a shaker to get all the loose needles out, tie it up and load it in your truck.

We found a great tree and we're excited to have the smell of Christmas in our home for a few weeks!

Happy Thanksgiving

We spent our first Thanksgiving away from home in a cabin at the base of Mt. Hood with our awesome neighbors. As you can see it was snowy and gorgeous!

I made homemade pies and rolls from scratch.

They were both a big hit thanks to my grandma's pie crust recipe.

Ledger had lots of fun playing with the other three kids and we had as many dogs as we did kids.

We spent the night, played cards, ate lots of good food and played in the snow.

We are so happy to live here in the Northwest and we are very thankful to have great new friends.

Sick Sick Boy

Last night was harder than the night before. Ledger was having a really hard time breathing and I tried every trick up my sleeve. Marq's poor parents were up half the night with us but we finally got him to sleep a few hours.

Unfortunately he didn't improve much today. Still had a really hard time breathing even after a steroid breathing treatment.

After a long day we ended up in the UrgentCare around 5pm. His oxygen level was low so they gave him an oral steroid, another breathing treatment and a steroid shot.

What would we do without amazing in-laws?

Sick Boy

Pretty much as soon as we got here Ledger started to get sick. Last night he was up several times with a horrible barking cough and wheezing. We sat outside in the cool night air several times throughout the night to help his breathing.

I was hoping he would improve today but so far he is still wheezing and having a hard time breathing. Yuck!

Our First Trip Back to Utah

Today Ledger & I flew back to Utah for our first visit.

He did so good on the flight and we even had a fun day together.

I agree... traveling is exhausting!
