Sunday morning we headed down to the nursery to feed the baby and then he was released from the NICU! We were SOOOO excited to bring upstairs to our room!!! We had a few visitors during the day but it was a cold snowy day so we had a chance to just hang out in our room. It was our first day together as a little family and it was perfect. It was truly the best day ever! We hung out, ordered a pizza, cuddled and talked about what to name our new friend. We had a few names that we liked but since we hadn't had been able to spend much time with the baby before now we were having a hard time deciding. We had an awesome nurse that day who kept popping in to hang out with us and had the entire nursing staff voting on names. Finally, late that evening, after spending an amazing day together with the baby we decided on Ledger Marques Rasmussen.
Ledger was born on Marq's great grandfather's birthday, the man who Marq happens to be named after, Marques Dailey. We thought it appropriate for Ledger to carry on the great name of these two amazing men, we know that he too will be amazing in his very own way.
