Ft. Worth Stockyards

Saturday afternoon we went to the Ft. Worth Stockyards. They have some cute shops and lots of restaurants.They walk the Texas Longhorns right up the middle of the road.

Aidyn just turned 8 and she loves holding Ledger!!!

She has helped bath him, play with him and read him bedtime stories every night. I asked if I could take her home with me but her mom won't give her up ;)

First Trip - Ft. Worth, TX

Ledger is now 12 weeks old and after a very long day of traveling, we are in Ft. Worth, TX! Ledger did SO well on the flights and everybody stopped us to tell us how cute he was. I've been planning this trip since before he was born, I was so excited for him to meet his Aunt Melissa and her cute family! I can't tell you have relieved I am that he didn't scream on the plane! Luckily neither one of us cried all day :)
My mom, Ledger and I left Salt Lake City around 1 p.m. and after a layover in Denver and a stop in Tulsa, we arrived in Ft. Worth, TX around 6 p.m,. Melissa and Ryan were there waiting for us and Ledger got to meet his Aunt Melissa & Uncle Ryan!
By the time we arrived at the Hooley residence the kids were dying to meet there new cousin. I'm so thankful Ledger will get to spend some time with them, I got to be so close to the kids when they were little and I want Ledger to know and love his cousins.

Happy Easter

We celebrated Easter this year with both of our families. My family had a picnic on Saturday and Marq's family came up to our house for the first BBQ of the year on our patio. We didn't do anything big since Ledger doesn't care yet but the Easter bunny did bring him a cute new outfit and Marq & I got some beach towels :) I only got a few pics but here they are. Update

Ledger is starting to play with toys, so far most of his toys are too heavy but he likes to hold and suck on this red ring.This is just a picture of how happy he is in the morning :) We love to lay in bed in the morning, talk, sing songs and laugh.

Mr. Sun

Today while waiting in line at the vet's office Ledger proceeded to have an entire conversation with his Mr. Sun toy. It's a light up to that I took off his baby gym and attached to his carseat to entertain him while driving. I have no idea what he was saying but he clearly had something important to tell Mr. Sun :)It is so fun to watch his personality starting to come out more and more.

10 Weeks

Ledger is now 10 weeks old and he's just as sweet as can be. He is discovering so much everyday!

He discovered his hands and he tries to shove his whole fist (or both) into his mouth.


Lately he has a lot to say (don't know where he got that ;) The other day he had an entire conversation with his sunshine toy while I waited in line at the vet's office. I can't help but wonder what he's saying....


He is laughing out loud too. He isn't consistent enough to catch on camera yet but you know I'm trying!!!


He loves bathtime and his bedtime lullabyes.


He is sitting up in his Bumbo chair but he doesn't love it yet.


Anyway, that's what we're up to :)

Bath Time

Ledger is 9 weeks old now and he love the tub. He just graduated from the newborn tub sling but we have to put a hand towel behind his back because his little spine gets red from sitting against the back.

Goodbye Dairy

Ledger's bellyaches had been getting really bad. We've tried Mylicon which didn't help and we've spent many long nights burping, pacing, patting, bicycling... while he screamed in pain. I tried cutting dairy out of my diet to see if that helped and after about a week his bellyaches are almost completely a thing of the past. Although I LOVE cheese I cannot stand to see Ledger in pain and know that there is something that I could do to stop it. So... for now I will say goodbye to my old friends cheese, pizza, sour cream, ice cream, chocolate, nachos, and cream cheese. "I'll see you in about a year."
On a happier note, he has recently found his hands :)

First Swim

Today was Ledger's first time in the pool. He didn't love it but he didn't scream either.I am getting excited for summer and lots more pool days!
