The Woman with You

Marq & I spent the morning cross-country skiing with Chevy. It was such a beautiful day and it was SO nice to be out enjoying the sunshine.

After skiing I had made an appointment for us to get a couples massage. Marq had never had a professional massage and I was excited to share this luxury with him. It was wonderful... so warm & relaxing. It's one of my favorite things to do and having Marq there laying next to me made it even better.We have a tradition of staying-in on Valentines Day. We don't like the big crowds or the long waits and this way Chevy gets to celebrate with us :) We usually like to spend the evening cooking dinner together and watching a movie. This year we opted for take-out but we had a nice evening at home.
Chevy's Valentine (her daddy) got her a new bone which occupied her all night.I truly have an amazing husband! I don't know how I got so lucky. He is my best friend and I love being married to him. Marq and I have always had so much fun together and I love that we continually find new things to try. He has way of making me forget about everything else when we're together, all my problems and fears seem to disappear and life seems so easy & fun! He makes me feel like I can do anything, he is definitely my rock. I LOVE YOU BABY!!! HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Super Bowl Sunday

I know this is an ODD thing to see on our Blog since neither Marq or I are big football fans. We had our 5th Annual Ovard SuperBowl party last Sunday at Nick & Noelle's house. I forgot my camera and I don't think anyone even took any pictures but my favorite part of the Super Bowl was in the last half when the Cardinals started to make a come back. I couldn't care less who won the game but when they scored Nick's little boy Brigham came running down the hall and into my arms for a BIG HUG! For a second I thought he was going to look up, realize it was me, not his mom and freak out but he didn't! He just smiled :) He even said my name later when he took Marq & I downstairs to check out his cardboard garage. I'm SO glad Brig & I have become buds!!!

Michael Franti & Spearhead

Marq & I went to a Michael Franti concert last week and had a BLAST! We were introduced to his music last year and we have both been big fans ever since. His music and lyrics are full of love & peace and his concerts are an amazing, comforting experience.
I got to go to his concert last year with Tahna, Denice and a group of her friends. I've been waiting all year for them to come back through Utah so that Marq could experience it too.

Michael Franti gets people fired up, encourages us all to speak out, organize and be heard! His music blends hip hop, funk, reggae, jazz and rock. He is an outspoken supporter for a wide spectrum of peach and social justice issues. He is an advocate for peach in the Middle East.
