She's Having a Baby!!!

Tahna is pregnant and could NOT be more excited! That's right!!! My best friend of 6 years is having a baby boy! I have known for quite awhile (I was there when she took the test :) and keeping the news a secret was killing me!

I just want to say "CONGRATS Tahna & John! We are SO excited for you and I promise to do WHATEVER I can to help! When it comes to babies I'm not as useless as I let on :)"

Our beautiful new nephew is here! I am so excited to have a nephew close by again... it's been a long time. Congrats to Chris & Jenn on a perfect, healthy baby boy. Sweet Dreams Little Man.

The Newest Member of Our Family

We have now had Koda for over a week. He is doing really well and is finding his place in our "pack".
He wakes up at 6am which doesn't make me or Chevy very happy at all. The girls like to sleep in at our house!!! He chews on everything and we call him our little monster. He is not afraid of anything and even barks at the vacuum.

Koda LOVES Chevy! She has finally started to play with him and loves flinging him around by his collar. He follows her everywhere and tries to do everything she does. He loves sneaking into her bed when she's not looking and she gets SO mad if he gets on our bed with us in the morning! Luckily he is feisty and can hold his own with his big sister.
I will admit that there were a few days were I was ready to send him back but he has calmed down and we are all adjusting. We love having a puppy around and Chevy is already more playful :) We love you Koda Bear.

Happy Anniversary

Last weekend was our 3 Year Wedding Anniversary. Time Flies!!! I came home from work Friday to a BEAUtiful bouquet of flowers that Marq bought for me.
Saturday he bought me a new patio furniture set! Last year on our anniversary we were in the process of buying our home so he bought me a patio book & promised to build me one. We are still in the process of that project but the new furniture it going to SO nice! Saturday night we put up the tent, had dinner on the new outdoor set and then camped out in the tent. We watched a movie with both dogs snuggled up with us. It was perfect!I got Marq this really cool wireless indoor/outdoor speaker so we can have music while we lounge (or work) in our new backyard.

Thanks for another wonderful anniversary baby! I love you very, very much!

It's a Boy!!!

After MUCH deliberation (and some tears) Marq and I have finally decided that it's time to expand our little family. We have adopted a French Bulldog/Lhasa Apso puppy to be Chevy's new baby brother :) We are hoping to bring our new little guy home this weekend. Marq & I are excited!Chevy is still REALLY hesitant but she is starting to seem somewhat curious from a distance. She is slow to adjust (like her mom) but we hope that she will grow to love him & they'll become the best of friends.
The puppy was sort of a Mothers Day gift from Marq. Him & Chevy also bought me a beautiful potted plant for our new patio (coming soon...) and Marq made me breakfast. Thanks you two... I love you both very, very much!

Sod Party!

So last weekend our Sod Party turned into a Mud Party. We woke up super early on a Saturday morning (which I try my hardest not to do) and got started. Our friends Brandon & Lyssa slept over the night before so they were there to help first thing and Jacque was there really early too. We got a system down quick and had a couple pallets done by about 9am when my parents showed up to help. As we kept laying the rain gradually got harder and harder. Jen got up and came over to help make breakfast for the troops since she's not in sod-laying condition. It was raining pretty hard after breakfast but we decided to tough it out, we were already muddy and we had to get it laid one way or another. We finished all but one pallet when the rain really got heavy and the wind started to pick up. Finally when it started to hail we called it a day. Jacque came back up to help us finish the last pallet on Sunday and I am proud to say that we now have our very own back lawn :) Chevy couldn't be happier and I am so grateful to have LESS mud to deal with.
