Bathroom Update

So this week while I have been occupied with a sick baby, Marq has been occupied with a project.
He got the guest bathroom painted, tile floor laid and installed the new light fixture and cabinet.

Bath Crayons

I know these photos are a little fuzzy but I had to post them to show how happy and funny Ledger normally is. He is finally back to his old self.We got him some bath crayons for his birthday and he loves them.
It is nice to see him interested in playing, learning and exploring again.And I must admit.... the bath crayons are fun for adults too :)

Poor Baby

This photo pretty much sums up how our week has been. Ledger has been so sick :( At first we thought he was teething but then Marq remembered that he had his MMR and Varicella vaccines last week at his one-year checkup. They told me that a reaction could take about a week. He has had a fever, has not slept for the past 3 nights and has sobbed on and off for days. My poor baby has been miserable!I will admit that at first the snugly baby was nice but I feel so bad for the poor guy. Luckily he seems to be feeling better today. His fever is finally gone and he is even venturing away from me to play with his toys.

Playland

Is it just me or is EVERYONE's birthday in February? Seriously between all our friends and family it seems like we have a birthday every day of the month!We celebrated four birthdays in Marq's family while Kim and her kiddos were in town. We all went to the Kangaroo Zoo to play. Ledger hasn't been feeling well for a couple of days. He is super slobbery and has a fever today to I'm thinking he is teething. Despite feeling under the weather he loved climbing through all the tunnels and the slides and bouncing were fun too. Thank heavens for Children's Tylenol!

Little Man

Marq's talented sister Kim was in town last week and took some photos for us as a Christmas gift. We went downtown to a spot where Marq & I took engagement photos six years ago. Isn't he a doll?
Despite LOTS of planning on my part Ledger wasn't his usual giggly, happy self. He took two good naps today but it was cold outside and he was grumpy. He is normally so funny and goofy but luckily he is still damn cute!
This kid LOVES oranges! I brought it as a bribe :)
Daddy's boy was so happy when daddy arrived.

Demo

Last night while Ledger & I were at the pool Marq was at home demolishing our guest bathroom. This is a project we have been meaning to get around to for a long time and we are finally ready to tackle both bathrooms.

We are excited to get these bathrooms cleaned up and updated!

Pool Day

Today Ledger & I met my family at the pool for another pool day.
As soon as Ledger saw the pool he was like "Put me down mom! I know what I'm doing!"
He has turned into a little fish! He doesn't mind the splashing or even the few dunks he took. He loves climbing the stairs and crawling through the tunnel.

It was a fun afternoon and I think all the kids were exhausted (I know I was).

12 Months

Weight... 21 lbs. 9 oz.
Height... 29.75 inches

I just realized that with between Christmas, Marq's birthday and New Years I totally forgot to do Ledger's 11 month post. Oops!

Ledger is... so funny and goofy.
His new favorite foods... he LOVES oranges! If he gets a hold of one he will bite into it before I can get it peeled for him.
His favorite toy is...his ball pit that he got for his birthday.
His newest trick is...climbing onto chairs and pushing the barstools around the house.
He says...mama, dada, hi and bye and I swear he is saying Chev but no one believes me.
He has... 8 teeth.
He is wearing... 9 month and 12 months tops and 12 months pants.
He likes to... pack stuff around the house.
He has started...sprawling out on the dogs, he thinks it's funny... they don't seem too impressed.
He loves... play in the pool.
He likes... exploring the kitchen cupboards and drawers.
He drinks... about 12 oz of breastmilk and about 4-6 oz of goats milk a day
He usually...takes a morning nap around 11am and sometimes an afternoon nap around 3pm but he has recently started combining them on some days.
He is sleeping... about 12 hours most nights. Usually from 7:30 or 8pm to 8am.
He loves... to be chased. He is getting really fast.
He hates it when... we change his diaper.
He likes to... dance.
He had... a big birthday party and loved his cake.
He is... walking so good. He takes the occasional tumble (which explains the bruises on his forehead)and is starting to run a little bit.

He is a busy little man most of the time, exploring and testing his limits. He loves attention, likes to be laughed and will try to entertain anyone that will watch him. He loves other little kids and dogs.
