Dear Ledger,
It’s hard to imagine that this time last year you were not here yet. We were at home waiting and many hours later we got to finally meet you. This year has been amazing, we have watched you grow and taught you so many new things. You have gone from a long, thin boy to a chubby, funny little guy. You started out at just 7lbs 1 oz and 20 inches long.
You are a crawling speedster and everyday you get more confident and fast at walking on your own. You love to explore and are very giggly and goofy. You love to play and snuggle with the doggies and they love you. We love you and can’t wait to celebrate another year with you. Happy Birthday Ledger.
We love you!

Birthday Party
Ledger's first birthday party was a success! We had LOTS of family and friends show up to help us celebrate his first year. Luckily the weather was nice so we got some of the older kids to play outside which made a little more room in the house (but a mess in my backyard).
I am hoping everyone will send me their photos from the party but here are some that I found on my camera...

Thank you to everyone who came to help us celebrate. Thank you for all the great gifts and all the love!!! We missed those of you who couldn't be here but we thought of you and you were missed.
I am hoping everyone will send me their photos from the party but here are some that I found on my camera...
Let Him Eat Cake...
I tried to find a bakery that would make Ledger a dairy-free cake but since no one would do it I decided to attempt it myself. I was a little intimidated but I was determined to give Ledger a cute birthday cake! I made Ledger his own little cake as well as a big cake for the party.
I think they turned out pretty cute for my first attempt and it must have tasted okay because there wasn't one piece left!
A special thanks to Tahna for helping me with the cake, the invitations, the decorations and basically everything else.
Our kid does not mind getting his hands dirty.
Two very proud parents of an adorable ONE YEAR OLD. Can you believe it?
"Cake is GOOD mom!"
"Try it grandpa!"
