Last night one of our favorite bands did a concert at Red Butte Gardens. We love Michael Franti & Spearhead!!!
Marq & I got babysitters for the evening (Ledger's awesome Aunt Emily & Uncle Randy... THANKS AGAIN GUYS!) and headed to the concert for a night of fun. I love Michael's music because it is upbeat, fun and has such a positive, uplifting message. He sings about peace, love and equality. His music inspires, encourages and comforts me.
The weather was awesome, a little breezy which felt great and the full moon coming up over the stage was incredible.
Most of all it felt nice to get out and spend some time alone with Marq. Life gets so busy sometimes it's hard to find time to just sit and enjoy each other. Summer nights don't get much better than dancing to great music with the one you love :)
