Into the Woods

Last weekend we headed high into the mountains above Fairview for a little family camping. Nick & Noelle and Noelle's family were nice enough to invite us to camp with them at Miller Flats. We spent the days playing, riding 4-wheelers, hanging out and trying to relax.My cute niece Sophia tried to keep cool under her new parasol :)
Ledger went for his very first 4-Wheeler ride! Thanks Grandma & Grandpa Ovard for letting us borrow the quad :)
Nick tried his hardest to get his quad stuck in the mud. No luck... he made it out every time.
Ledger did awesome. He chilled with us during the day and even took naps in the camper. He loves watching the kids and dogs play.
Noelle's family had a big dinner together one night and everyone dressed up in D.I. formal. I don't have a picture of Nick & Noelle's outfits yet but they went with a Western theme. They looked great!We went with a formal look. You can't really see it but Ledger is wearing tuxedo jammies :)The days were hot but the nights got really cold! Koda had to borrow Ledger's bulldog shirts to keep warm! Lucky they are the same size :)

Ledger stayed nice & warm and I was glad he got to wear some of his cute fuzzy jammies, our house is too hot for them.
Ledger loves his Uncle Nick :) He hung out a lot with Nick, Noelle and Sophia. Soph likes to sing him songs and "pump up" his binki??? I'm still not sure what that's about. Noelle's dad brought his projector and outdoor screen. We watched a few movies at night which was cold but lots of fun.Noelle & Sophia getting ready for the movie to start.This is the ONLY picture I ended up with of Brigham because he was always off having fun with his cousins or riding his dirt bike.

Chillin in my Crib

This morning when I went in to get Ledger up from his nap this is what I found...Mckenna just taught him how to roll over yesterday and he recently started sleeping without his swaddle. He seems to be loving his new found freedom!

Six Months

Ledger is officially six months old today!He is so much fun and he is getting more and more interested in the world around him everyday. He loves to watch the dogs and gets excited when they sing to him. He is sitting up better everyday and LOVES eating food. We haven't found a vegetable yet that he doesn't love.

His favorite food is... Green Peas
His favorite movie is... Baby Einstein
His newest trick is... Scooting around the floor and Mckenna just taught him how to roll over (from back to belly) tonight!
He is still wearing 0-3 clothes but is starting to fit into some of his 3-6.
Still wearing a Size 1 diaper
He likes to babble and talk
He likes to grab things, especially mommy's jewelry and hair.
Just started eating solid foods, he eats 2.5 ounces once a day
He is STILL not sleeping through the night :(
He loves to play with his feet and suck on his toes
He is starting to sleep without his swaddle
Started drinking from a sippy cup.
Ledger is goofy, cuddly, happy, alert, stubborn and sweet.

The Sound of Sunshine

Last night one of our favorite bands did a concert at Red Butte Gardens. We love Michael Franti & Spearhead!!!Marq & I got babysitters for the evening (Ledger's awesome Aunt Emily & Uncle Randy... THANKS AGAIN GUYS!) and headed to the concert for a night of fun. I love Michael's music because it is upbeat, fun and has such a positive, uplifting message. He sings about peace, love and equality. His music inspires, encourages and comforts me.
The weather was awesome, a little breezy which felt great and the full moon coming up over the stage was incredible.Most of all it felt nice to get out and spend some time alone with Marq. Life gets so busy sometimes it's hard to find time to just sit and enjoy each other. Summer nights don't get much better than dancing to great music with the one you love :)

The Porcupine Pub

Last night Nick & Noelle brought the kids up to eat at my very favorite restaurant... The Porcupine! We got Nick & Noelle hooked about a year ago and they've been coming up to eat there with us ever since :) This time Rikkie & Jared came up to join us.I love this picture of Ledger and his two cousins Brigham & Noah. Oh the things these boys have to teach him.... YIKES!!!

Little Guy

I recently bought Ledger this shopping cart/high chair cover thinking that maybe he was ready to start riding in the cart. Our carseat is too big to fit in the top of a shopping cart and it's not always convenient to shop with him in the bjorn especially since he wants to grab everything.As you can see my little guy is not quite big enough to ride in the cart yet, he keeps tipping over so we'll wait awhile and try again.

Happy 4th of July

On Monday we celebrated the 4th with Marq's family at a BBQ.Grandpa & Ledger showed up in matching outfits, it was the cutest thing ever! I love this picture!!!Ledger was amazed by the fireworks, couldn't keep his eyes off them.Happy 4th of July!

Peas Please

Ledger is nearly 6 months old now and I felt like he is ready to start eating solid food. We started with sweet peas and he LOVES them!I can't shovel them in fast enough and he likes to try to grab the spoon.
I can't believe he is big enough to eat baby food but I'm excited to see him discover the world of food.

Let's Go to the Movie!

Sunday night we headed to the drive-in with my brother Nick, sister Rikkie and their families.The kids had a great time before the movie even started, switching vehicles and eating lots of treats :)
Although it was past his bedtime Ledger insisted on staying up to check out the action.

Family Pool Day

Fourth of July weekend started out at the Lindon pool with some of my siblings and nieces and nephews. They have a great pool with a slide, lazy river and pirates bay for the kids.Ledger decided not to take naps that day so he was a little cranky and ended up falling asleep IN the pool :)Sophia and Noah had fun too and they are really good swimmers!
Brigham had a great time on the waterslide. That kid is scared of nothing!
